Hello, motorbikeslashers,

I don't know if many of you follow shoebox_project, but it does indeed feature Sirius' motorbike in a supporting role, often referred to as "The Vibrator". (Ha.)

The community jukebox_project is for Shoeboxy fanmixes, and they have monthly themed challenges. This month's themed challenge is a soundtrack featuring the motorbike!

My purpose is twofold:
1. Participate by nominating songs that remind you of the special R/S/motorbike love, and later on, voting on which nominations should be included, because the challenge just requests motorbike or road songs, not anything in particular about the inevitable OT3ness.
2. Benefit by getting an album of Motorbike music at the end of the month!

I am SO tormented about what I'll nominate. Someone else already sensibly nominated Arlo Guthrie's Motorbike Song, which is good.

I'm currently thinking:
- "I Wanna Hop On Your Harley" by Anne Rabson, who totally sounds like she might be a drag queen, though she isn't. This is the most blatantly "Motorbikes are Hot!" song I've found, so I'm willing to overlook that Sirius would so not have a Harley.

[Chorus:]
I want to hop on your Harley,
I want to hop on your Harley,
I want to hop on your Harley,
Woo-hoo, baby, take me for a ride!

You were there in your black leather jacket and chaps,
With all those sexy zippers and all those tempered snaps.

Chorus

I want my arms and legs around you, getting hotter by degree!
Is that the exhaust or your body burning me?

Chorus

I want my hand on the throttle, my feet on the pegs,
I want to feel that power there between my legs!

Chorus, twice.

- "Little Honda" by the Hondells. While it's not that slashy, it's got a couple of good innuendo-ish lines, because really, it's hard not to when you're talking about motorcycles.

I'm gonna wake you up early, 'cause I'm gonna take a ride with you!
We're going down to the Honda shop, I'll tell you what we're gonna do!
Put on a ragged sweatshirt and I'll take you anywhere you want me to.

[Chorus:]
First gear, it's allright!
Second gear, I lean right!
Third gear, hang on tight!
Faster, it's alright!

It's not a big motorcycle, just a groovy little motorbike.
It's more fun than a barrel of monkeys in a two-wheel bike.
We'll ride on out on the town, I'll take you any place you like!

Chorus

It climbs the hills like a Matchless 'cause my Hondas built really light.
When I go into turns, well, babe, you better hold on tight!
We'll better turn on the light so we can ride my Honda tonight!

Chorus, repeat.

My daddy rides a Honda from the seventies, quite like what Sirius' options in the Honda line might be if there were any chance in hell that Sirius would have a Honda. It's a really nice bike, and you do, in fact, meet the nicest people on a Honda.

The third song... I don't know? Motorbikin' by Billy Idol?

Then there's also M-bike by PJ Harvey? I suspect it's sadly quite true to Shoebox!Remus' objection to the motorbike, which I personally don't really buy, because RL/SB/MB = OT3!

His m-bike's clean
You polish that thing
He looks her over more than me
But I won't let it get to me
Yeah, he can play with his machine

Night or day, rain or shine
Looks at her shape, not at mine
I'm not complaining
I think it's neat
Yeah, he can play with his machine

But all he's speaking and all he sees
Is just his motor bike, not me
No, I won't let it get to me
Can't stop thinking of his goddamn machine

Motor
Motor
Motor

Take that lady coasting west
Ride his motor over the edge
Yeah, I could break her
Break her, break me
But get rid of that goddamn machine

Yeah, I could break her
Break her, break me
Get rid of that goddamn machine

Yes, I'm gonna break her
Think what you live
I fucking hate his motor bike

Aaah, so many choices!!
